Church Mothers’ Meaty Green Beans Recipe
If you grew up in church, it’s virtually impossible to not have nostalgic memories of eating Granny’s meaty green beans after a Sunday service. As children, we would normally turn up our noses to vegetables, but Granny had a way of infusing so much meat into this classic side dish that no sensible child could resist.
Like Batman & Robin, these meaty veggies were a desirable sidekick to the fried chicken that our bellies craved after worship service
Try this recipe to achieve the classic taste of green beans that the old church mothers used to make.

- Now toss the packet of soup mix, green beans, smoked turkey, bacon, onion, and garlic into the pot with the liquid.
