Christmas Snickerdoodle Cookies in 20 Minutes
These delicious Christmas favorites will overwhelm you with delight from the perfect mix of sugar and cinnamon with a buttery kick! Snickerdoodles are the perfect dessert idea for after Christmas dinner. Better yet, you can shower the children with sweet snacks as they open their gifts.
Ingredients
Refrigerated
- 2 Eggs, large
Baking & Spices
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 3 tsp Cinnamon
- 2 tsp Cream of tartar
- 2 3/4 cups Flour
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 11/16 cups Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Dairy
- 1 cup Butter
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix softened butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1tsp of vanilla extract and eggs thoroughly in a large bowl.
- Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
- Blend dry ingredients into butter mixture.
- Refrigerate dough and an ungreased cookie sheet for 10-15 minutes in the fridge.
- Meanwhile, mix 3 tablespoons sugar, and 3 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Scoop 1 inch scoops of dough into the sugar/ cinnamon mixture.
- Coat by gently rolling balls of dough in the sugar mixture.
- Place on cold ungreased cookie sheet, and bake 10 minutes.
- Remove from pan immediately with spatula.
